Professional Background
Steven brings more than 15 years of experience as an independent catastrophe adjuster. His assignments included work through E.A. Renfroe for State Farm and through QA Claims for Citizens Property Insurance Corporation in Florida.
His catastrophe experience includes adjusting claims after the Joplin tornado. During the Hurricane Katrina response, he managed an E.A. Renfroe claims team covering the Houston territory. That combination of field adjusting and team management informs how he discusses losses, coverage and the questions business owners face after a claim.
Steven continues his family’s multigenerational work at Stover & Crouch. He works with Texas businesses to understand the risks in their operations and review insurance as those operations change, emphasizing practical guidance and long-term client relationships.
Education
He studied general business at Sam Houston State University.

Steven serves in three roles with the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT):
